All it took was one book to send me down the rabbit hole of reading that went from Book 1 to Book 7 out of nine books. In less than a week. I know I read faster than most, and all of these were fairly quick reads since they were short books (averaging 275 pages), but I was caught up in the storylines fairly easy.
The first book I started with was Worth the Risk. It was a good young FMC with an older MMC. As far as spicy goes, it wasn’t overly done. In fact, the first sexy scene happens off the page. The story line holds its own, and there are some romantic and sexy scenes in the book. The characters are well developed, and of course, the teases for the next book leave you wanting to read the next book. Lyon tends to put a scene from the next book in at the end of her books, and I noticed as I read that character development for the next books seemed to happen toward the end of the books. I think that’s how I became so invested in reading the next book.
Anyhow, I am off to finish reading, because reading (and writing) are my happy places!
